Jonesboro Chamber Prepares for D.C. Fly-In

JONESBORO, Ark. - The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce is organizing its annual trip to Washington D.C. Chamber leadership will be accompanied by individuals representing various Jonesboro business sectors. The goal of the trip is to engage with Arkansas’ national legislators on current issues and to advocate for initiatives beneficial to Jonesboro businesses and its economic growth.
 
Representatives from the City of Jonesboro and Craighead County plan to attend including local leaders invested in banking, agriculture, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Membership Spotlight: E.C. Barton & Company

With over 50 years of membership and dedication to the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, E.C. Barton & Company has made a wonderful example of growth through being a member of the Chamber. E.C. Barton & Company has been a member of the Jonesboro community since 1885 and is the parent company to three brands— Home Outlet, Barton’s, and Seconds and Surplus. While operating 120 stores in 19 states, the headquarters remains in Jonesboro.

Emerging Leaders graduates second class

The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrated its second class of Emerging Leaders in November.
 

Hurricane alum awarded welding scholarship

The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly presented its 2022 Tech Talent Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to Jameria Campbell.  Jameria, a 2022 graduate of Jonesboro High School, is currently enrolled at Arkansas State University-Newport at Jonesboro, where she is pursuing a Technical Certification in Welding.

Chamber hires new VP of Chamber Programs

The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to share Cody Slater will join the team as the new Vice President of Chamber Programs.
 
Slater comes to Jonesboro with more than seven years of experience in chamber leadership and economic development. Since 2018, Slater has served as the President and CEO of the Wynne Economic Development Corporation and Cross County Chamber of Commerce. Prior to his work in Wynne, Slater served as a Regional Manager for Community and Economic Development at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission in Little Rock.

Nominate outstanding leaders in our community

The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce 2022 Annual Meeting is set for Thursday, October 6, 2022. 

At the Annual Meeting, various awards are given including the Betty T. Sloan Promotion Award, the Goodwill Ambassador of the Year, Roy H. Jolly Volunteer Award, and the Ed Way Outstanding Young Professional Award. 

The Betty T. Sloan Promotion Award and the Ed Way Outstanding Young Professional Award are chosen by committees and Chamber leaders through an open nomination process. 

Cari White honored with Outstanding Chamber Executive Award

A longstanding leader of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce was honored at the Arkansas Economic Developers and Chamber Executives Annual Conference on August 29, 2022. 

Cari G. White, Executive Vice President at the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, received the Outstanding Chamber Executive Award at the annual luncheon held in Little Rock. 

2022-2023 Board Elections

As required by Article IV, Section 3 of the bylaws of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, six persons are proposed by the nominating committee, for the annual election on September 19, 2022, to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors.
