From parks and trails to green spaces and community centers, Jonesboro has a lot to offer when it comes to recreational activities. Jonesboro’s Parks and Recreation Department manages twenty-five parks and four cemeteries that total over 900 acres. With dozens of athletic fields, water features, community centers, recreation programs, and events, the Parks Department offers something for nearly everyone! Jonesboro Parks and Recreation also oversees dozens of youth sport leagues including soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, tennis, and football. It’s not only for the kids, though. There are adult co-ed volleyball and softball leagues. These programs serve more than 11,000 participants and bring more than 40,000 visitors to Jonesboro parks.
