Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce names new Marketing Director

JONESBORO, AR.--The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new addition to its team with Mallory Jordan Black taking on the role of Marketing Director.

In this role, Black will lead all communication and marketing efforts for the chamber including helping build and share brand awareness for not only the chamber but also the businesses it serves. By strategically utilizing a variety of communication channels, Black will help share the stories of Jonesboro, its businesses and stakeholders.  Mallory Black

Black brings a vast skill set to this position. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and will soon graduate from Arkansas State University with a Master of Arts in Communication Studies. Black recently spent more than 3 years as a Marketing and Communication Specialist at Arkansas State University-Newport where she helped the institution grow its social media followings by more than 100% while also leading external communication efforts including photography and videography content.

You may also recognize her from her work at Region 8 News in Jonesboro where she was the morning anchor of Good Morning Region 8 and a multi-media journalist. Originally from Weiner, Arkansas, Black understands and values the vibrant potential within Northeast Arkansas and Jonesboro. She looks forward to helping support growth along with showcasing Jonesboro’s unique strengths through storytelling, social media and other digital methods.

As a resident of Jonesboro and an active volunteer for the Foodbank of Northeast Arkansas and the Northeast Arkansas Chain Reaction Youth Council, Black already shows a vested interest in our community and understands the significance of service and leadership. Mark Young, President and CEO of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, said Black is a great addition to the team.
