Chamber Announcement
Time: 2:00pm
A workshop specifically for small businesses will be held Thursday, February 8 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. The subject is disaster preparedness and registration is $25.00
ASU’s Small Business Development Center will conduct the seminar and feature guest speaker Timothy Lee. Co - sponsors for the event are the Chamber, East Arkansas Planning and Development and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management.
The seminar will provide background information and basic planning tools to increase the survivability of businesses in the event of a disaster such as tornado, flooding or earthquake.
Attendees will learn about local hazards, how to prepare for future disasters and what assistance will be available following a major disaster.
